Meet Bruce Cook

A life long athlete, Bruce began racing triathlon 20 years ago while working 12 hour days in finance and helping to raise a family. Learning to prioritize and make the most efficient use of training time was essential for him to maintain a healthy life balance. Prior to 2011, Bruce worked with several talented coaches who helped him learn and enjoy the journey from Sprints to Ironman.

In mid-2011, Bruce started working with QT2 as he was attracted to their quantitative approach to developing athletes. In 2012, at Ironman CdA, he won his Age Group and qualified for Kona - both first time experiences. Since that time, Bruce has raced both the 70.3 and 140.6 IM World Championship on multiple occasions.

In 2016, Bruce started coaching. “Pursuing my love of competition and continuing to learn and share my knowledge and experience with my athletes has been very rewarding. Having access to experts in the field of endurance racing and learning from top coaches and cutting edge researchers like Dan Plews has been phenomenal. Incorporating the Endure IQ protocol into my coaching is a great way to help athletes achieve (and hopefully exceed!) their goals in long course racing.” Since 2016, Bruce has had a good number of athletes qualify for both the 70.3 and 140.6 IM World Championships.
